Privacy Policy

Wisprnote AI ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our desktop application and associated services.

Wisprnote AI is built with a privacy-first architecture. Your meeting recordings and transcripts remain on your device by default.

2.1 Information you provide

• Account data: Email address and authentication credentials when you create an account for cloud sync features.
• Meeting content: Audio recordings, transcripts, summaries, notes, and AI-generated artifacts you create through the App.
• Payment information: Processed entirely by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). We do not store credit card numbers or payment details.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Usage analytics: Anonymous, aggregated usage patterns (feature usage, error rates) to improve the product. No meeting content is included.
• Device information: macOS version, app version, and hardware identifiers needed for licensing and compatibility.

• To process your subscription and manage your account
• To send important product updates and security notices
• To provide customer support when requested
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We never use your meeting recordings, transcripts, or notes to train AI models.

• Local-first: All recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated content are stored locally on your Mac by default.
• Cloud sync (opt-in): When you enable cloud sync, data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest in your Supabase-backed storage.
• Encryption: End-to-end encryption is used for synced meeting data.
• Access controls: Only you (and teammates you explicitly authorize) can access your data.

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Deepgram — Speech-to-text transcription. Audio is processed in real-time and not stored by Deepgram after processing.
• Google GenAI / OpenRouter — AI summarization and chat. Prompts are sent for processing; responses are returned and stored locally. We do not opt into provider training programs.
• Supabase — Cloud database for synced user data, authentication, and asset storage.
• Paddle — Payment processing and subscription management.
• Turbopuffer — Optional vector storage for RAG-backed chat retrieval (when configured).

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:

• With third-party service providers listed above, solely to operate the App
• When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
• To protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users
• With your explicit consent

Local data remains on your device until you delete it. Cloud-synced data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, all cloud data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data
• Export your data in a portable format (Markdown, DOCX, PPTX)
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing
• Object to processing of your data
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
